New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Nicky,
Thanks for the information!
I don't have a time estimate yet but I'm back to working on it as there are many patiently waiting.
In regards to the DK Yarn color palette, I will definitely add it. I hope to have the new palette in a few days but please be patient with me if it goes past that.
I'll let you know as soon as it is available.
Terry
Hi everyone.
I've had several people ask about why they sometimes get "Invalid image file type" errors.
Thanks to users who sent me their "trouble" files, I was able to find one common cause. Yes, there are others and you still might see this error but I just added a bit of code to eliminate one cause.
The cause of this particular problem is when someone loads an image into their browser and saves it with a different name and file type. So they may load a .jpg image into their browser and tell the browser to save it with a file name ending with .png. Or they simply rename their image from xxx.jpg to xxx.png. Either way, the file stays the same. Only the name changes.
The previous version of the freePatternWizard decided your uploaded image was in the format that your computer said it was. Beginning with this version it does a double-check so even if you upload a file xxx.jpg and it's really a .png image, it'll figure it out and process it in the correct format.
The correct way to change your image format is to load it into some sort of "paint" program and save it out in a different format. Your "paint" program will then reformat your image properly.
This was previously implemented on Android devices.

Tribble,
Ferengi...LOL, hate to love 'em, love to hate 'em!
It sounds so easy in theory...sit down and watch a whole show, one season at a time, but it really does take time. I'd like to rewatch TOS, because I found that show in the '70s, in reruns. Problem was that they cut out parts of the shows. Someone, and I can't remember who, in light of the new series is supposed to be showing TOS uncut. That I really want to see!
When I first started watching TNG during its original run (though I'm still only 25, LOL ), my company transitioned me to a night shift, so I ended up missing a lot of the shows...probably saw a handful of them before that happened. So that was why, even though it was one of my faves, I hardly ever got to see it during its original run. I worked that shift for 3 years, and after that things got even crazier, so watching the show ended up not happening often and I couldn't follow some of the plots for the ones that required having seen earlier episodes. I did catch up on some of them later on, and every once in a while will still catch an episode I haven't seen. I'd really like to someday watch the series over a month or two, a few episodes every night, in order. Or perhaps start with TOS, then move on to TNG, etc. LOL, isn't that a dream?
I completely agree with you about Spock...he was the best! Hands down my favorite character on that show. And did you notice...he had the best comedic lines, too.
I've been enjoying discussing Star Trek with you, too! My husband is a Trekkie, but not too many of my friends are, sorry to say. My bestie doesn't get into it at all, and even my dear old friend who is related to Max Grodenchik isn't a big Star Trek or sci-fi fan, unbelievably.
Definitely one thing about Star Trek...they just don't make shows like that anymore. Even the newer ST shows are very different than TOS and TNG. Oh, well, at least the old shows are still available to watch, right?
as i've said to you melanie i no longer cross stitch because i can no longer see the squares on the aida fabric and my only choice is the horrid plastic squared stuff and i've used that once and never ever again i made the pattern that way to use it for a loom band mural but anyone is welcome to use it
